Fondaco dei Tedeschi

Originally used as a trading post for German merchants, the Fondaco dei Tedeschi is one of the most iconic Renaissance buildings in Venice. The contemporary atmosphere given by Rem Kohlas combined with a remarkable restoration project make this quite a unique shopping mall to visit. The wayfinding system employs in contemporary ways traditional materials and proposes in the courtyard an interesting revival of the early Venetian use of tapestries.
